About Us
The
Jim Schmidt family are the authors and illustrators of the I Cried
Too™ children's book and national spokespersons for the I
Cried Too™ Public Service Campaign.
Blake & Fiona make numerous radio and television appearances
sharing hope and healing from their personal experience of loss.
They are both accomplished musicians and have written and performed
some of the music on the I Cried Too™ CD.

Jim is President and founder of Put On Your Armor, a non-profit foundation dedicated to "armoring" children with love against drugs, crime and violence. Jim and Sheila were married on June 26, 1997. Blake and Fiona received a new baby sister, Sofia Joy (the new addition to the family), in January of 2000. A short time later the family wrote I Cried Too™ based on the true story of how Sheila's first husband and Blake and Fiona's first daddy died. The story is told through the eyes of a bunny rabbit who witnessed the tragedy. The bunny, named Abundance, finds hope in learning that the accident is not his fault. |
