I Cried Too™ is a project sponsored by the Put On Your ArmorSM Foundation and is a Public Service Campaign reaching the hearts of millions of boys and girls. I Cried Too™ provides resources and tools for children who lose a mom or dad and networks various agencies whose mission reflects the goals of I Cried Too™.

Simply stated: I Cried Too™ is The Gift of Love to America’s Children!

Based upon the true story of one family's experiences of losing their own husband and father, I Cried Too™ was first published in 2000. Strong demand for the comfort it provided drove its development into a package containing a book, CD and companion plush bunny named Abundance™. The events of September 11, 2001 mobilized the family and authors of I Cried Too™ to launch a campaign to provide these packets as gifts to the children who lost a mom or dad on 9-11. Through the generous response of many donors, our team made two trips to New York and Washington, D.C. to the Pentagon resulting in over 2,300 children receiving the I Cried Too™ packets.

The project was chosen by the Pentagon as their only bereavement gift for the children who lost a mom or dad on 9-11. It received a special proclamation from New York City and appreciation letter from First Lady Laura Bush in presenting it to the Library of Congress.

Every day in America more than 5,000 boys and girls lose a mom or dad because of death, divorce, neglect, abuse and parent imprisonment. I Cried Too™ focuses on these special children bringing them valuable resources provided by America’s corporations, churches, civic organizations and other agencies.

I Cried Too™ brings hope & healing to anyone who has experienced a tragedy.
